I post racing history related content, particularly focused on the IndyCar series.
This channel also follows my racing journey from approximately 2009 to 2018. I started indoor/rental karting leagues in 2009 and racing my TAG kart in 2012. I have also done some racing in SCCA, Skip Barber, Bertil Roos, and driven a late model stock car.

Top 6 Most Unique Paths To IndyCar
In modern times most drivers paths to IndyCar have been pretty standard. Most start in karting then proceed to a ladder of junior formula car series, currently usf2000, Indy pro 2000 then Indy lights before finally reaching IndyCar. Many IndyCar drivers also come from the European formula 1 ladder, currently f4, f3, f2 then f1, and while the ladders change and evolve over the years, and it's not unusual to run some combination of the IndyCar and formula 1 ladders or run a formula car series not officially in the ladder or to skip a step along the way, most of the current 2022 IndyCar field followed a relatively similar path. However, these are the 6 drivers with the most unique career paths to IndyCar amongst the 2022 field.

Found some footage from my 360 degree camera from a race in 2018. This was a good race unfortunately ended with a crash right in front of me but everyone was ok. Camera is on the radiator, not the best angle because my arm covers a lot of the view, but this is one of or maybe the only race I ever recorded with the 360 degree camera. 20 karts in TAG (senior and legends combined) for the last race of the year winner wins a turkey! I qualified 4th in the A group. Finally got a decent start yet still managed to lose 1 position on the first lap. I made an adjustment on the kart, it was handling differently from the last few races at Sandy Hook can you tell the difference?

Today I saw a video where the engine of the Ferrari she won with was disassembled for revision. It was taken apart to be overhauled. It's from Subi Performance, an engine repair company from Germany.

She was very attractive to me.
The 1994 Marlboro 500 was a real tortoise-and-hare race, with the fast cars going out with mechanical problems and the slower cars scoring some of their best finishes. Only 8 cars finished the race, with Hiro, 11 laps behind winner Scott Goodyear, finishing 6th. Dominic Dobson finished 3rd, Mark Smith 5th, and Willy T. Ribbs 7th--not the usual top 10.
The 1997 U.S. 500 at Michigan was another of Hiro's best performances, finishing 9th, 9 laps behind winner Alex Zanardi, with only 11 of 28 cars still running at the end. The immortal Dennis Vitolo actually finished 7th in that race.
It would be fun to highlight those races. In some ways kinda miss the days before bullet proof reliability and near perfect parity through the field.
How about Shigeaki Hattori, who had his license revoked by CART after only 7 races in 1999? He had a little more success in Indy Lights and the IRL, but that says more about the calibre of competition in those series than it does about his ability.

The 11th place was not a good finnish. Everyone behind her was crashed or broke down. You need to look at how many people a person beat that were still running. People fail to see this even with Hailey Deegan

I saw her at mid ohio for years she wrecked every race i seen her in. She would spin. Out all the time for nothing . She was a moron. Be last place .
If you race long enough, you will eventually have a big one. Then you get to find out if you really want to be a race car driver.
I love my local track. I schedule a block of time along with the amount of “races” I want to run, show up 5 mins before the block starts, Im running laps. Unless it’s league racing where the drivers grouped by lap times, I’m fine with paying extra so me and my kid can focus running faster laps. This shit is for the birds..

Danica started in karts and from what I can tell had a successful career. Milka from what I know never even raced karts competitively. While danica crashed a lot so did a lot of other drivers, although I dont have the exact data maybe I should do some research and make a video on her since Danica comes up again and again in the comments. I am confident though she was light years ahead of Milka in indycar.

As someone who knows him hes so nice man hes not salty at all just wanted to say that ;)
thats a nasty crash, he looks fine but probably some bruising due to that initial mounting. karting is very dangerous and should be taken seriously.
